Johann Alberts

Associate Director – PET/CT

Johann initially trained as a Medical Doctor, but is now fully focussed on healthcare management. His background and experience gives him the ability to seamlessly move across the boundaries between the clinical, commercial and operational aspects of a healthcare organisation with the credibility of having frontline clinical experience. Throughout his career he built up significant experience in the private, public and military healthcare industries. During this time he was involved with and managed several projects including:

  • Programme Manager for the deployment of the Optemis reporting solution for the PET North contract during 2014
  • Programme Manager for transitioning 40 scanners from an OEM maintenance contract to a national supplier to improve service provision
  • Design, mobilisation and ongoing management of a national cardiovascular screening programme on a mobile platform during 2008-2011
  • Transformational project for BMI Healthcare’s Physiotherapy and Health Screening Departments

Johann’s current role is to programme manage and direct the mobilisation project for the National PET/CT Contract in three phases across the whole of England. He is also overseeing the IT and Clinical Systems mobilisation and transition work stream.
